I Think I May Be Going Nuts?

O.K., so I have not been alone in over SEVEN YEARS. My youngest son and my little companion is off to preschool. Now mind you, it is not two or three days a week, its FOUR days a week and for three hours a day! I have found myself walking around in circles not knowing which direction to take in my own home. But worst of all and the most disturbing, is I have come to speaking to the people on television. This morning, O.K. brace yourselves, I was watching Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami and I had a one way conversation with one of the girls who works at Dash. Now I know you all do not watch Kourtney and Khloe (or you are afraid to admit you do), but Dash is their clothing store. Anywho, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can reclaim my life? I may end up in an institution if I continue on this way.

Baby Blanket #3

I love to knit baby pieces. I often have no reason to make them since my baby is almost three, but I can't help myself! It is so easy to fall in love with those precious baby blankets, hats and booties. Anyway, there's bound to be a baby coming along soon to spoil with knitted goodness! This is the third baby blanket I have knitted using the same pattern. The pattern is the Encore 8 Hour Afghan and it is so simple. You can complete the blanket quickly and watch your favorite programs while doing it! I like the seed stitch border which keeps it from looking boring. However, I am feeling the need to branch out a bit and try something new. I found this pattern at The Purl Bee http://www.purlbee.com/basket-weave-baby-blanket. Sure it is another simple pattern, nothing too challenging, but it is different. Yet I'm afraid once I knit the basket weave there will be two or three or more just like it. I am such a creature of habit!

Really?

My oldest son would like to be Darth Maul this year for Halloween and he must have a double sided lightsaber, which by the way is impossible to find! Anywho, as I was shopping along on Amazon I came across this little number :

Are you kidding me?!

Thrifted Goodness

On a recent trip to my local Goodwill, I came across this groovy 70's gravy boat. On the bottom it reads:

SEARS ROEBUCK AND CO
1979
MADE IN JAPAN

I adore the Alice in Wonderland mushrooms, I just had to have it. And to make things even better it was 1/2 off all household items that day. So for a mere $2, I couldn't leave without it!

Isn't He Darling?

I was presented with a perfect photo opportunity this past weekend while picking apples. A cute little sign with a bright red apple on it, an almost three year old, and his first experience picking apples. I had all these wonderful creative ideas of scrapbooking these new special moments for my littlest guy.

"Hey C come stand by the apple sign so Mommy can take your picture.

Enough said.

I've Jumped on the Bandwagon

I finally have a blog! Being blog obsessed (as you may have read in my profile, I get obsessed over things) I just wanted one too! So here we go. Are you ready to join me on this roller coaster ride with my adorable children, craft obsession, notebook collecting, book reading, wine drinking, and a little about my unhealthy love for some of those famous bloggers out there? You know, the ones who have had books published and movies made? Well damn it, it's my turn! Yeah, yeah, I know, it's never going to happen. But hey, I'll have fun trying!
