December 11 - Bake Cookies
December 12 - Candy Cane Hunt
December 13 - A visit from Santa on the Fire Truck
you can read about the towns toy delivery program here
December 14 - Blow ice bubbles
We tried but it wasn't cold enough so we are going to save this one for a very, very, cold night.
December 15 - Dessert before dinner
December 16 - Tell each other what you love best about them
(We did this during dinner)
December 17 - "Jingle" a neighbor
( To Jingle a neighbor you must leave goodies on their door step with a poem asking them to continue by jingling another neighbor, sort of like chain mail.) However, I didn't want to torture anyone or give them a guilt trip, so we just left them some goodies with a card from us. The kids put the tins of cookies on their front porch steps, rang the bell, and then ran away. They loved it!!!! We watched our neighbor come to the door from our window. It was so fun. Even I was giddy.
December 18 - Make a bird feeder
We used toilet paper tubes, Sunbutter (sunflower seed butter), and bird seed.
December 19 - Two cookies for dessert!
We were supposed to make Borax Snowflakes but I couldn't find the Borax any where so I let them decided. Two cookies for dessert. A unanimous decision.
December 20 - Go for an evening walk
We chickened out on this one. It was just too cold. Yeah, yeah, we're wimps.
We'll go another night to make up for it.
December 21 - Write a letter to baby Jesus
Because as my friend Jean says, Jesus is the reason for the season.
I'll be back after Christmas with days 22-25.
Until then, have a very Happy Holiday
