The Husband sometimes has to travel to Bermuda for work. What a fun surprise when he asked how I would feel about all of us going to Bermuda with him for a week?? How would I feel you ask me???
Surprised, excited, nervous!! We've never taken the kids anywhere!! How would it be for them? Would they be scared, would they misbehave, would the food be safe for C (because of his nut allergy)? etc. etc.
My anxiety was for nothing because they did great and had such a fun time. And the food was totally safe! Each time we ate out we talked to the managers and even some of the chefs. They were very understanding and made sure C's food was safe. What a comfort that was!
Anyway, here a few shots of our first family vacation:
Waiting at the airport.
First lunch out at The Pickled Onion.
The views from our hotel balcony.
Outside the hotel.
A goofy picture with a statue of Mark Twain. He's all over the place there. He was a fan of Bermuda quoting "You can go to Heaven if you want. I'd rather stay in Bermuda."
The hotel pool. We went every morning, while The Husband was working.
A ride on the Ferry. We are on our way to The Dockyard.
The Beach at Shelley Bay.
A picture with the police during Harbor Night.
Out for a drink at the Opus Lounge.
The Whistling Tree Frogs. These creatures are amazing. They make one of the most distinct sounds at night. I like to compare them to crickets. They are a little bigger than your thumbnail and we thought we'd never get a glimpse of one. But boy were we surprised when The Husband spotted one on the side of the road.
Our last dinner before we made our way home.
